EUDR — EU Deforestation Regulation
The EU Deforestation Regulation prohibits placing certain commodities and derived products on the EU market unless they are deforestation-free, legally produced, and covered by a due diligence statement. It covers cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood, and reaches manufacturers through derived products — wooden components, rubber parts and paper-based packaging. The demanding part is geolocation: due diligence requires plot-level coordinates for where the commodity was produced, which most electronics supply chains have never collected.

- Collect geolocation data for the plots of production
- Assess and mitigate risk before submitting a due diligence statement
- Retain records supporting the statement

No machine-readable feed reaches EUDR yet. We ingest the US Federal Register and legislation.gov.uk; neither carries instruments under this name, and the EU publishers that would — ECHA, EUR-Lex, the Commission — refuse automated requests. The primary sources above are the record to watch. This is a gap in available feeds, not an indication that nothing is changing.
